The plumbing is almost done! The electrician needs to come back to wire the hot water heater and a couple of other things. Then the finishing touches, such as baseboards, vent covers, and safety handles in the bathroom. The cubby benches are built and ready to go in the dojo as soon as we have our occupancy permit.
Functioning lights!
I have never been so excited about light switches in my life! What’s even more exciting? Motion sensor light switches in the bathroom and storage room. The electrician will be back tomorrow morning to finish wiring the HVAC compressor, which is on the roof. Today the electrician is picking up a light fixture for the bathroom; yay, light in the bathroom. The plumber is expected to finish up their portion too. The blinds for the window arrived yesterday and today I began building the cubby benches. We are getting really close now!
The HVAC installation is underway!
The HVAC system is being installed and will be completed tomorrow. Yay for heating and cooling! The electrician and plumbing are being scheduled too. We are hoping for the occupancy inspection to happen next week, fingers are crossed.
Doors!
The bathroom, storage room, and utility closet floors were sealed today. Also, temporary doors were installed. The final doors are on backorder for approximately seven weeks, so temporary doors are installed for initial inspection. Hopefully the inspector will accept them for the occupancy permit. Next up is the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
The walls are finished too!
Mr. Nitsche has finished the walls and the whole space looks amazing! Tomorrow he will do the bathroom floor. Next up is the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and doors.
