The mirrors look great! Unfortunately, we could only put them on one wall. If they were on both sides then it would create a house of mirrors effect, which is very disorientating. Also, we can’t touch or clean them for 7 days. It takes that long for them to set properly. If they do not set properly the reflections would be distorted.
Makiwaras are installed!
We now have makiwaras in the dojo. A special shout out to Great Lakes Leathercraft, LLC for making the amazing long covers. We also have outside benches. Soon, we will have beautiful planters to compliment them. But first we need to find the right ones. More improvements are coming this weekend. We can’t wait to share them with you!

It was nice to be back to mostly normal again.
Today we held our Annual Karate Family Potluck Picnic for the first time since the pandemic. We had a lot of fun enjoying the amazing weather and friends! The kids had fun playing on the playground and engaging in an epic water gun fight.

The mat flooring is down!
The mat floors are done! They are so nice to walk and fall on. No shoes are allowed on the mats, barefoot only. Next up on the list is finishing the installation of makiwaras, heavy bag, TV, wall mural, and mirror installation next Saturday. It is feeling more and more like our own space, so exciting!

We have shades on the windows now.
The blinds are up! No more blinding sun coming in while we train! Also we some of the floor is down. We are working on put the rest down, more pictures to follow.
