Hi Friends! These past two weeks we have begun to hang some of the students’ name plaques on the rank board. It has been fun bring this part of traditional Okinawan karate into our dojo. Faulkingham Sensei is working on extending the plaque board to wrap around the makiwara area. In the meantime, enjoy the initial pictures of students hanging their plaques.
We had a great day training with Sensei Kip. It was made extra special when Sensei Iha joined to say hi from Okinawa!
Faulkingham Sensei has been busy working on the latest dojo project. The natural stain has been applied and is currently drying. Next up, the clear coat will be applied and then mount it on the wall. Please join me in a special thank you to Colin Faulkingham for laser cutting the name plagues for us!
Today was arts and crafts time for Faulkingham Sensei. We can’t wait to see the final product!
