On August 15th, Gateway Shidokan Karate, LLC celebrates our one-year anniversary in our new location! We love having mat floors, mirrors, makiwaras, a heavy bag, a private bathroom, and video conference abilities for long distance training with Iha Sensei and Roberto Sensei. Also, Faulkingham Sensei is thrilled that she no longer needs to carry all items into the building for classes. It is wonderful having everything we need on site!

Thursday, August 17th, 2023 - Due an instructor scheduling conflict, the beginner class, 5-6 pm, will be combined with the 6-7 pm class for this day only.
Black Belt Test
This past weekend three of Gateway Shidokan Karate, LLC dojo members tested for their next black belt rank in Lansing, MI with Iha Sensei. It is with great pride and joy that we congratulate them on their new black belt ranks: Tony Bui, 5th Dan; Walter Nitsche, 3rd Dan; Meghan Johnston, 2nd Dan! They worked incredibly hard for their promotion. Congratulations to all who tested!

Dojo closure for NTS
The dojo will be closed Wednesday, August 2nd, and Thursday, August 3rd. Your instructors will be traveling to Lansing, MI for the Black Belt test, and the National Training Seminar (NTS) with Sensei Iha and worldwide guests.
